Sheila's Book is a unique account of one person’s journey through a
psychotic episode, containing chapters written by Sheila, members of her
immediate family, friends, and the professionals involved in her care.
This book gives insight into the experiences of both those living with
mental illness and those that are living and working with them at the time
of their illness.
Sheila Harvey is a past Chair of Mind in Taunton and West Somerset and
all profits (about £6.00) from each book sold goes towards our work.

Lyn Barlow was born in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, in 1963. This
collection of poetry reflects her experiences of care, psychiatric hospital
and imprisonment. She was an active member of the peace campaign at
Greenham Common before going on to work as a researcher at the New Statesman
magazine. Following this she gained a place at Cambridge University.
Lyn now lives in Taunton and is a committed writer of both poetry and
fiction. This is her first collection of poetry. |
